This Home Buying Project is a comprehensive and easy-to-implement activity. As Real-World as you can get! A GREAT lesson for a High School Personal Finance or Family and Consumer Science (FCS) class.

Students will do the following:

• Discover what price of a home they can afford to purchase given their career choice.
• Calculate the monthly payment and total cost of the loan over the life of the loan.
• Furnish and supply their home with a budget.
• Calculate their down payment requirement and closing costs for their new home.
• Choice to print and display in your classroom!!!

Monthly payment information, total investment, down payment amount, and closing costs are displayed in easily fillable areas on the project file. The ‘My Home’ File offers a budget and prompts to make furnishing and supplying their home engaging and FUN!
