I am a Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year Finalist (Class of 2022) with degrees in ART EDUCATION and BUSINESS EDUCATION. More about me…Mother of four and grandma of two.
I raised three beautiful daughters (on my own)…met the man of my dreams (later in life)….had a son (my midlife blessing) and now I have 2 grandchildren! I continue to teach business education classes while creating resources for my classroom and Teachers pay Teachers.
Former PA State Fair Queen and Pageant Judge
I remain active in the Pennsylvania Fair Queen Program offering annual young women’s leadership seminars at the PA State Fair Queen Pageant and acting as the pageant director and fair queen advisor for two Pennsylvania fairs.
I’m an Author!
In early 2020, my book Born a Country Queen was released! It is a children’s book dedicated to young women who are country queens! (available on Amazon)
Show Director and Philanthropist
Show Director and Philanthropist….are titles that this high school teacher never really aspired to be. In an effort to make money for under-resourced children in my school district we held a wildly popular “male pageant and variety show”. This (always sold out) show took on a life of its own each year. Wow…the young men who I have the privilege to work with and direct for over 10 years have a special place in my heart!!! After finding out that I was having my son (remember…my mid-life blessing) I hung up my director hat. I will hold those shows dear to me always! We raised THOUSANDS of dollars for our organization throughout the years to provide FABULOUS Christmases for many, under-resourced students.
