Description

Student discover an app in the Google Suite they likely have never used – Google Travel. My Google Travel activity for Computer Applications class allows to students to be creative and showcase their Google Slides skills while also learning some very valuable adulting life skills.

There are six (6) slides with prompts in the margins for students to follow. The file is a Google Slides file that can be easily converted to Microsoft PowerPoint®.

Students do the following in Google Slides or Microsoft PowerPoint:

  • Pick a place they would like to visit someday.  Plan a dream trip by making a DREAM TRIP PORTFOLIO!
  • Design a cover slide for their DREAM TRIP PORTFOLIO.
  • Create a Planning Page by inserting clipart, etc.
  • Shop on Google Travel for a round trip plane ticket from the nearest major airport to your destination.
  • Insert the plane ticket costs and details on the plane ticket clipart.
  • Shop on Google Travel for a vacation rental or hotel for a 7 night stay.
  • Create a Map Page to discover where their dream vacation is on a map.
  • Create an itinerary page.
  • Formatting and inserting pictures.
