Students do the following budgeting tasks:

  • Calculate gas prices for a trip
  • Buy groceries on a budget
  • Shop for accommodations on a budget
  • Explore expenses for restaurants
  • Discover the prices for beach excursions and activities

My students found this project activity ENGAGING and FUN! They were surprised at the costs of fuel and accommodations. These are things that teenagers have never experienced…REAL WORLD adulting activities. It was so interesting hearing the banter back and forth from the student as they were exploring the costs. This is GREAT STUFF!

My students also did this Budgeting and Trip a Trip Project earlier in the semester before our break. It was also a winner!
