Description
My Google Earth ‘I’m Feeling Lucky’ and ‘Scavenger Hunt’ activities will spark your students’ curiousity. Perfect lessons to introduce and teach your Computer Applications class students how to use and unlock the power of Google Earth. Google Earth is such an underutilized educational tool. We need to give students the freedom to explore technology. I use these types of lessons during ‘hard to teach’ days – before breaks and holidays, state testing, homecoming or prom week, etc. Also great for sub days or maybe a remote learning snow day!
✅ Perfect for 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th grades (Middle School thru High School alike), and Higher Education.
What do you get?
- Roll the Dice activity – Students use the ‘I’m Feeling Lucky’ feature of Google Earth to discover Google Earth’s capabilities and learn more about our world.
- Scavenger Hunt activity – Students hunt for a list of items on Google Earth. I make a game of it and see who can find the item first on Google Earth and give out prizes. Editable so you can add items to the list.
NO PREP! SAVES YOU TIME!
✅ Duration: I spend about 45-60 minutes on each of these activities, but you can spend as much time as you’d like.
⭐ GREAT FOR ALL AGES! – Middle School, High School, College, Higher Education, or Home Schooling.⭐
Also included in my Google Applications Course Bundle.
