Description
This Financial Statement Color Analysis resource for Accounting Class includes FOUR color analysis activities for:
- Financial Worksheet
- Income Statement
- Balance Sheet
- Closing Entries!
Accounting worksheets at the end of the fiscal period, (as well as other financial statements) can be difficult for students to understand. Use this color analysis activity to help students navigate this daunting financial document.
After your students complete any financial statement that goes along with your textbook series, this activity can be used to analyze account classifications, assess what accounts are in each column, and show understanding of the financial statement. I do this same activity with two different worksheets during that chapter. They usually don’t get the first one completely correct and they really seem to like tackling it again to master the color-coding.
When a student engages in coloring or artistic embellishment of their lesson material, the two sides of the brain work together and visually helps with retention.
⭐ALSO INCLUDED IN THIS RESOURCE is a project idea to summarize the end-of-the-fiscal-period process! MY STUDENTS LOVE THIS!⭐
⭐It’s DIFFERENT…ENGAGING…AND FUN! WIN! WIN! WIN!⭐
